MUTTON GRAVY

MUTTON GRAVY

Serves :  2-3

Cooking Time :  45 minutes

 Ingredients :  

      • Mutton – 800 gms
      • Onions – 5-6
      • Black Cardamom,Black Peppers,Cloves,Bay Leaf,Cinnamon,Stone Flower – 3-4
      • Asafoetida,Cumin Powder, Ginger Garlic Paste– 1 tbsp
      • Ghee – 3 tbsp
      • Curd – 1 cup
      • Green Chillies – 2-3
      • Swaroma Meat / Mutton Masala – 2 tbsp
      • Swaroma Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
      • Swaroma Coriander Powder- 1tsp
      • Swaroma Turmeric Powder- 1tsp

Method : 

For Marination:

In a large mixing bowl add 800 gms Mutton, 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 cup Curd, 2-3 Green Chillies, 1 tbsp Swaroma Red Chilli Powder, ½ tsp Asafoetida, 1 tsp Cumin Powder, 2 tbsp Swaroma Coriander Powder, Add Swaroma Turmeric powder, Salt as per taste, 1 tbsp Ghee, Green Coriander Leaves, and mix well. Keep it aside for 5 to 8 hours.

For Gravy:

        • In a cooker pan, add 2 tbsp Ghee, 4-5 tbsp oil
        • Add some khade masale like, 1 Black Cardamom, 4-5 Black Peppers, 2-3 Cloves, 1 Bay leaf, 1 inch Cinnamon, a pinch of Stone Flower, add 5 to 6 Chopped Onions and sauté till it turns light golden brown in colour
        • Reduce the flame and next add in the  marinated mutton into the pot and mix well
        • Mix 2 tbsp Swaroma Meat Masala in the mutton to sauté till the oil separates.
        •  Keep stirring occasionally, add salt and a  water to the mixture as per requirements of the gravy consistency 
        • Next cover the pot with lid and cook till 5-6 whistles till the mutton turns tender
        • Mix tomato puree or curd and sauté for 10 more minutes keep adding water as per needed and stir well.
        • Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot with rice, roti, naan or paratha.
